If you missed the premiere of Aaron Sorkin’s newest HBO drama The Newsroom, here it is in its entirety.
It had all the hallmarks of an Aaron Sorkin show. While at times the dialogue was overwrought, pedantic, and overly philosophical I found myself caring about the characters in spite of all that. The stories were compelling and the mixing in of real-life events with a clearly fictitious, if overly dramatized news environment was very compelling (at least for one episode).
